Xin Ying Wushu Training Centre was founded in 1993 by former National Athlete and international Medalist Tan Mui Buay to apply the rich cultural heritage of Chinese Martial Arts to the creation of a holistic training experience that not only promotes health and well-being, but also inculcates in our students the discipline and moral behaviour of a well-rounded martial artist.

Renown advisors to Xin Ying Wushu Training Center include Master Zhou Shu Sheng.

Master Tan Mui Buay is an 11th generation lineage holder of Chen Style Taijiquan and 2nd generation lineage holder of Chen Style HunYuan Taijiquan. Our Chen Style HunYuan Taijiquan curriculum is our flagship program proudly led by Master Tan. The curriculum includes basic and advanced Fist forms, Hunyuan Gong, Push Hands, and Weapons techniques.

For youths and children aged 4 and above, Xin Ying Wushu Training Center offers a multi-step step program that takes students with no prior experience through systematic skill building courses, resulting in competition level performance in both wushu and taiji.

Xin Ying Wushu Training Centre partners with renown martial arts organizations and Masters to offer top notch training courses in Traditional Martial Arts.

Corporate programmes are available ranging from long term standard weekly programmes to customized short term group lessons, as well as single/multi day team building exercises. Programs can be customized to meet specific corporate health or well-being objectives.

Xin Ying Wushu Training Centre is an Active Affiliate of the Singapore Wushu, Dragon and Lion Dance Federation.

OUR FOUNDER

MASTER TAN MUI BUAY Is a former national wushu athlete with over 30 years of wushu and taijiquan experience. She has represented Singapore and won medals at multiple international events including World Wushu Championships, Asian Games, and SEA Games.

She is featured in the “Singapore Book of Records” as the First Singaporean to win a taijiquan medal at the Asian Games.

She also holds a Degree in Social Science and Diploma in Applied Psychology.

Master Tan is a 11th generation lineage holder of Chen Style Taijiquan and 2nd generation lineage holder of Chen Style HunYuan Taijiquan. She Is the proud disciple of Grandmaster Feng Zhiqiang, Master Zhou Shusheng, and other well-known teachers.

Master Tan has earned many Awards, including “Coach of the Year” awarded by the Singapore Sports Council (SSC), and multiple consecutive “Meritorious Award” given by the Singapore National Olympic Council (SNOC).

A former National athlete, Singapore Wushu and Dragon Federation Deputy Secretary, NROC Registered coach, and qualified International Wushu judge, Master Tan Has groomed many new instructors and elite athletes in Singapore.

Master Ooi Kean Seng is an avid taiji practitioner and aspire to promote the sport to more people. He was under various masters in his 40 years of learning journey and has assimilates their teaching.

Master Xiao had started his professional wushu training since age 7 in China. After stepping down as a national coach in China, he continued his coaching career with the former Singapore Wushu Federation. He helped Singapore wushu team to obtain a total of 8 golds, 9 silvers and 8 bronze in the 1991 and 1993 SEA games.
