MASTER TAN MUI BUAY is a former national wushu athlete
featured in the “Singapore Book of Record” for being
the first Singaporean to win a medal at Asian Games.
She was a medalist at a few Asian Games, SEA Games,
World Championships, with over 30 years of experience
in wushu and taijiquan. Master Tan holds a degree in
Sports Psychology, is the19th Generation bearer of Chen
Style Taijiquan and 2nd Generation bearer of Xin Yi
Hunyuan Taijiquan. She is the proud disciple of Grand
Master Feng Zhiqiang, Master Zhou Shusheng, and other
well known teachers.
Master Tan has attained
many awards and recognition, including “Coach of the
Year Award” given by the Singapore Sports Council (SSC),
and “Meritorious Award” given by the Singapore National
Olympic Council (SNOC) for a few consecutive years.
A former athlete, a NROC registered coach, and qualified
international wushu judge, Master Tan has groomed many
new instructors and elite athletes in Singapore.
